The following list of resources contains scholarship information for both military and non-military based scholarship programs.

Military Community Only Scholarship Programs

  1. National Military Family Association - A scholarship program for military spouses to help pay for school tuition, career licensing, or spouse-owned busineses.

    2021 applications open October 1, 2020.

  2. The Tillman Scholar Program - Tillman Scholars are military service members, veterans and spouses with a high potential for impact as demonstrated through a proven track record of leadership, the continued pursuit of education and the commitment of their resources to service beyond self.

    Program will continue in 2021

  3. ThanksUSA Scholarship Program - Scholarships available for dependent children as well as spouses for first-time undergratuate study as well as non-degree professional licensing.

    Program will continue in 2021

  4. My Career Advancement Account Scholarship Program (MyCAA) - a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance for licenses, certifications, or Associate’s degrees to pursue an occupation or career field. Spouses of service members on active duty in pay grades E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2 and O-1 to O-2.

Non-Military Scholarship Programs

  1. Society of Women Engineers - SWE Scholarships support those who identify as a female/woman and are pursuing an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science in the United States. Complete one application to be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.

    2021 applications open December 1, 2020.

  2. Selected Professions Fellowships - Selected Professions Fellowships are awarded to women who intend to pursue a full-time course of study at accredited U.S. institutions during the fellowship year in one of the designated degree programs where women’s participation traditionally has been low. Selected Professions Fellowships are awarded for the following master’s programs:

    • Computer/information sciences
    • Engineering
    • Mathematics/statistics

    Deadline December 1, 2020. by 11:59 p.m. Central Time

  3. SWSIS - Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security - The SWSIS program provides scholarships of up to $10,000 for women studying for their Bachelors and Masters degrees in fields relating to information security.

    Application Period: December 15 - February 1

Conference Scholarships

  1. Microsoft Scholarship Program - Microsoft awards tuition and conference scholarships each year to encourage students to further their learnings in Computer Science and related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines.

    Program will re-launch in 2021
