Puppet Archive Module

Overview

Puppet module to download and extract tar and zip archives based on camptocamp/puppet-archive.

Supported archive types are:

tar.gz, tgz
tar.bz2, tbz2
tar.xz, txz
zip

Usage

###Archive

url - URL to download the archive from
target - Destination directory to download package into
checksum - Whether or not to check the downloaded package signature. Default: True
digest_url - Where to download the archive signature from. Default: ""
digest_type - What type of checksum process to run. Default: md5
src_target - Default: /usr/src
root_dir - Default: ""
extension - What extension the archive file has. Default: .tar.gz
timeout - How long in seconds to wait before timing out. Default: 120
allow_insecure - Default: false
username - Basic auth username
password - Basic auth password
proxy - HTTP proxy in the form of 'hostname:port', e.g. 'myproxy:8080'

Example:

archive { 'apache-tomcat-6.0.26':
  ensure => present,
  url    => 'http://archive.apache.org/dist/tomcat/tomcat-6/v6.0.26/bin/apache-tomcat-6.0.26.tar.gz',
  target => '/opt',
}

Supported Platforms

The module has been tested on the following operating systems. Testing and patches for other platforms are welcome.
