The commands to write key to authorized is manual. I suggest to update with the following to append in step 5:

sudo cat my_axiom_key.pub >> fin/etc/security/authorized_keys.default

I would also specify what steps are done on Windows and what steps are done on Linux for example mounting to loop did not work in WSL it has to be a native Linux OS.
