Benefits:

  • Quick way to solve #32
  • Easier to embed in shiny/Rmd/etc
  • Would make serVis obsolete

Drawbacks:

  • for it to "feel" like an htmlwidget, it would have to resize sensibly which would require a good amount of work.

Maybe a good candidate project for Google Summer of Code

Just want to mention here that I really admire how slick the visual is. Really wish we could do it in other domains and with another type of data. Thank you!
