Linux Dev env setup

Install Google Chrome

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
sudo apt install -y fonts-liberation
sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

To install VSCode

curl https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc | gpg --dearmor > packages.microsoft.gpg
sudo install -o root -g root -m 644 packages.microsoft.gpg /usr/share/keyrings/
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb [arch=amd64 signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/packages.microsoft.gpg] https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/vscode stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/vscode.list'
sudo apt-get install -y apt-transport-https
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y code # or code-insiders

Turn on settings sync

Install oh-my-zsh

sudo apt install -y zsh

Install oh-my-zsh custom plugins

git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-completions ${ZSH_CUSTOM:=~/.oh-my-zsh/custom}/plugins/zsh-completions
git clone https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-autosuggestions ${ZSH_CUSTOM:-~/.oh-my-zsh/custom}/plugins/zsh-autosuggestions

Install powerlevel10k

git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/romkatv/powerlevel10k.git $ZSH_CUSTOM/themes/powerlevel10k
p10k configure

install vim-awesome

sudo apt install -y vim
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/amix/vimrc.git ~/.vim_runtime
sh ~/.vim_runtime/install_awesome_vimrc.sh

Install terminator

sudo apt install terminator

Restore dotfiles

cp .zshrc ~/
cp .p10k.zsh ~/

Install nodenv

git clone https://github.com/nodenv/nodenv.git ~/.nodenv
cd ~/.nodenv && src/configure && make -C src
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.nodenv/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc
echo 'eval "$(nodenv init -)"' >> ~/.zshrc

Install node

nodenv install lts/fermium

Install docker

sudo apt install -y docker docker-compose
sudo systemctl start docker
sudo systemctl enable docker
sudo gpasswd -a $USER docker

Login user

su - $USER

Install FiraCode Nerd Font

mkdir -p ~/.local/share/fonts
cd ~/.local/share/fonts && curl -fLo "Fira Code Regular Nerd Font Complete Mono.ttf" https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/raw/master/patched-fonts/FiraCode/Regular/complete/Fira%20Code%20Regular%20Nerd%20Font%20Complete%20Mono.ttf

To update VSCode font:
