make the docker image:

docker build -t simple-demo .
run the docker image in a new "container":

docker run -d --rm -p 8080:8080 simple-demo

d - background (no terminal attached) rm - remove stopped containers automatically
getting "inside" the container to poke around:

docker exec -it /bin/sh
now run it using port 80 instead of 8080:

docker run -d --rm -p 80:8080 simple-demo

docker ps docker container inspect
