Psychological tests for Psytoolkit

This code require psytoolkit software or psytoolkit platform psytoolkit.org

PsyToolkit is a free-to-use toolkit for demonstrating, programming, and running cognitive-psychological experiments and surveys, including personality tests. PsyToolkit is frequently used for academic studies, for student projects, and for teaching cognitive and personality psychology. Is created By Prof. Gijsbert Stoet (Professor in Psychology - Essex University, UK) if you use this code and publish an article, I will be grateful to you if you mention this github page (https://github.com/danielelozzi), but it is very important to cite this two articles:

  • Stoet, G. (2017). PsyToolkit: A novel web-based method for running online questionnaires and reaction-time experiments. Teaching of Psychology, 44(1), 24-31. O

  • Stoet, G. (2010). PsyToolkit - A software package for programming psychological experiments using Linux. Behavior Research Methods, 42(4), 1096-1104.

Tests included in this repository are:

  1. Long term memory assessment (SRT)
  • Selective Reminding Test [Buschke, H. (1973). Selective reminding for analysis of memory and learning. Journal of Verbal Learning and Verbal Behavior, 12, 543–550.]
  1. Information speed processing and divided attention assessment (PASAT)
  • Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test [Gronwall, D. M. A. (1977). Paced auditory serial-addition task: A measure of recovery from concussion. Perceptual & Motor Skills, 44(2), 367–373.]
  1. Sustained attention assessment (RVIP)
  • Rapid Visual Information Processing [Talland, George. Effects of Alcohol on Performance in Continuous Attention Tasks. Psychosomatic Medicine 28, 594–604 (1966).]
  1. Sustained attention assessment (GO/NO-GO) - more easy than RVIP
  • Go/No-Go [On the speed of metal processes, Donders, 1868]

This also allow to reveal also other index using some distractors (i.e. similar letters). We advise to assess the absence of dyslexia or visual color impairments before in order to have clean and not biases datas.

To use one or more of that tests, you have to create an account on psytoolkit.org website and upload code and other files, then, you have to run expiriment online or donwload html file to execute offline. Moreover, you can create survey and include expiriment.
