/nextfireblog

Inspired by the next.js official tutorial where you make a simple blog, I am going to make a more complex with features like medium.com including being able to self-publish articles, like articles and so on...

Primary LanguageJavaScript

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Demo

The project is now complete and can be demoed here

The Future of This Project

I will not be taking this project further for now beause doing so will require further fimiliarisation of firebase, including firebase security rules etc, because firebase is not widley used in industry, I feel it is not a great use of my time to continue learning this platform for now.

The project is fully functional, you can create an account, write posts, view posts, like posts (max one like per post per user). You view the project here: here

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
