This is the backend for the flight form application. It is built using Django and Python.

Clone the repository

Install the required packages using the following command:
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Setup environment variables in a .env file in the root directory of the project. The following environment variables are required:
Copy the .env.example
file to a .env
file and set the environment variables.
SECRET_KEY=your_secret_key
DEBUG=True
DB_NAME=your_db_name
DB_USER=your_db_user
DB_PASSWORD=your_db_password
DB_HOST=your_db_host
DB_PORT=your_db_port
If you are running the postgres database on your local machine, the DB_HOST should be localhost
.
Postgres defaults to port 5432.
If you want to use SQLite, you can set the following environment variables:
DB_OPTION=sqlite
- Run the following command to migrate the database:
python manage.py migrate
- Run the following command to start the server:
python manage.py runserver
The API endpoints can be accessed at the following URL:
http://localhost:8000/submit-flight/
Form data can be submitted to the above endpoint using a POST request.
