deseq2 not running as standalone

When I try to run elvers my_config.yaml deseq2 after getting my salmon results, nothing is run. I've confirmed the quant.sf files are in the quant directory.
After Building DAG of jobs... the next line is Nothing to be done.
https://dib-lab.github.io/elvers/deseq2/ suggests this should be possible... any advice?
