Request: using the new tray icon library developed by Linux Mint

Opened this issue · 2 comments

L.S.,

I am a more than happy user of your tray icon for keepass, but I do have i request.

Sometimes the icon does not scale properly. I use Linux Mint (19.2) the cinnamon edition, and every other time I start up my system, the Tray Icon is scaled too large. I am using the standard Mint-Y theme.

Of course, this is all not really problem. The reason I decided to make this request is because of a blog post I read, written by Clement Lefebvre, Lead Developer of Linux Mint.

The section that triggered my attention was the one about System Tray Icons and what their problems are in the current state. It also mentions that the Linux Mint team has created a new library that would improve the handling of tray icons, and that anyone who is writing an app with a tray icon is encouraged to contact the Mint team for more information on how to implement the new library.

By now, you might have guesedd what my request is: would it be possible to use the new tray icon library for the keepass tray icon?

All the best,

Maarten Pelgrim
