The Splunk Help Menu allows you to easily add a contextual help menu to any of your Splunk dashboard panels. The extra information provided in the help menu may be beneficial to users who are not familiar with a particular search or searches on a dashboard.

Instructions on adding a help menu to a panel:
1) Add a reference the JavaScript and CSS in your dashboard’s Simple XML:

2) Add the necessary HTML inside of a panel:
