Separate Archives into Two Columns

For the Archive Index view, separate all archives into two columns.
Not sure how to accomplish this, will have to perhaps consider if Zurb's Grid Columns can accomplish this, if embedded ruby can pull it off, or resort to using Javascript for accomplishing this.
