WTFPL

Supposedly not a copyleft licence [0], but it's certainly the most libre in my book.

Original licences provided in this README as initially distributed by original author. Templatised copies are available in the respective version folders.

Version 3

Version 3 has two different ones by different authors. Given that the 2010 edition didn't gain much traction until 2019, it's unlikely that theiostream would have known about Kris Craig's edits.

My recommendation is to just do what the fuck you want to. Copy it, change 'em back to license, increase the version number, convert spaces to tabs, whatever dude.

Then you can place this snippet throughout your code files to reference your reverence for their ability to do whatever-the-fuck they want:

# This project is libre, and licenced under the terms of the
# DO WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT TO PUBLIC LICENCE, version 4.0,
# as published by dtf, July 2019. See the COPYING file or
# https://github.com/dtf0/wtfpl for more details.

Summary:

  • Change instances of license -> licence
  • Clarify that the project is libre
