This repository includes all the material used for the laboratory lecture about Denial of Service (DoS) developed and presented during for the Network Security Course at University of Trento (A.A. 2021/2022).
In particular, the files included are the following.
- Presentation: slides used during the lecture. They include an introductory explanation, various types of DoS attacks (TCP and UDP flood, TCP reset, slow HTTP attack) with hands-on exercises and step-by-step guidance, and a presentation of possible mitigations;
- Report: presents the same topic of the slides but with more details. It help catch up with the laboratory without the need of an explenator. It includes more detailed steps on the virtual machines needed to run the laboratory and their configuration;
- Code: includes the skeleton of some of the code needed to perform the laboratory.
