White text on coloured background

is aocr able to read white text on coloured background?

Do you suggest to make images grayscale and/or invert when the text is not darker than the background?

There shouldn't be a problem with it, it all depends on how good your dataset is. Some preprocessing could be beneficial, yes, but it all depends on your particular case, so just experiment. :)

How to get bounding box of the highlighted parts out of those GIF images??
