- get all albums from last.fm account which were played in a given year
- only keep albums which were released in that year
- list them by number of plays
- assuming more plays == better album, you have your personal aoty list
- bonus: add info from albumoftheyear.org
- bonus: also list the album which were not released in that year (under 'still listening to')
