is the wf-sc workflow modular?

Hi wf-sc developers. Im curious if its possible to run parts of the workflow individually.
So for example i have run the workflow and found that i would like to modify the stringtie paramaters. Can i run the workflow from the isoform identification step?

Following on from this, once the worklfow has completed successfully is the 'work' directory needed in anyway or is this something i could remove to save space?

Thanks for the help

Hi @Sefi196

Nextflow does allow resumption of workflows.

If you're running via the command line, you can change your parameter in the config and then add -resume to your command, the workflow should resume from the first part of the workflow where this parameter change has an effect.

It's not currently possible to resume a workflow from the EPI2ME app.

You shouldn't need anything from the 'work' directory so it can be deleted after a run finishes. The exception to this is if you want to resume a workflow, in this case it needs the contents of the 'work' dir to be present.

Thanks
