I finally revisited the idea of creating solar systems since my last attempt. This version was actually inspired by these deskpads that I saw someone using at my job. Using the circle packing process I developed recently, the script generates a random number of planets in varying sizes. The fun part is creating rings, an array of moons, and a beautiful backdrop of stars. There are a ton of customizable options to play with in this one.
Also, the resulting images can have super high resolutions, so make sure to download them and zoom in for the full effect.
If you're interested in running the code on your own, make sure to download Processing in order to run the .pyde file.
