Installing Mods

  1. Make or find a file called mod_config.json, with the following inside it:
{
    "application_path": "C:\\Program Files\\Vivaldi\\Application",
    "active_mods": [
        "addressbar_button_order",
    ],
    "active_page_actions": [],
    "splash_fg": "#67d0ea",
    "splash_bg": "#222"
}
  1. Make sure to set the values as you require them. Mods are named as they appear in the mods folder. As some mods may have both a .js and .css component, you just need to give a name without the extension, and any files that have this name will be installed as mods.
  2. Run the command python3 custom.py - Note that if you need admin permission to write to the Vivaldi directory, this script also requires it
  3. Restart vivaldi if it was open

Installing Page Actions

  1. Make or find a file called mod_config.json, with the following inside it:
{
    "application_path": "C:\\Program Files\\Vivaldi\\Application",
    "active_mods": [],
    "active_page_actions": [
        "Wide_Video.css"
    ],
    "splash_fg": "#67d0ea",
    "splash_bg": "#222"
}
  1. In the array marked active_page_actions, list all of the page actions you want to include, specifying their file extension
  2. Important: Every file should have a different name, even if they have different extensions as vivaldi currently does not offer any way to differentiate them.
  3. Files should be named as you want them to appear in page actions, use a _ symbol for spaces, and append.css or .js depending on the type of mod
  4. Run the command python3 custom.py - Note that if you need admin permission to write to the Vivaldi directory, this script also requires it
  5. Restart vivaldi if it was open
  6. Go into page actions and select any you want to activate

Speed Dial Thumbnails

There are some speed dial thumbnails in the thumbs folder.

Custom Profiles

This can be used to run different copies of Vivaldi simultaneously by using different user data directories. Regular profiles as set within Vivaldi can't be run concurrently, but user data dirs can.

  2. Enter the name of a profile to use
  3. Press enter
