The beepr program generated from this source generate beep sound
using various methods. Using ioctl() requires root priviledges to
write to /dev/console. Also CONFIG_INPUT_PCSPKR has to be enabled in
the kernel's configuration.
  
Typical use:  
 'beepr -b'
 'beepr -f 440 --ioctl'
  
To compile the beepr program in a terminal, go to the source 
directory, type:  
make  
  
Copy the executable to /bin or wherever you prefer

Here's the help from running 'beepr --help':
Usage: beepr [ OPTIONS ]
Options:
    -h, --help      Show this help message
    -b, --beep      Play a simple beep
    -d, --daemon    Run in the background and listen to FIFO /run/beepr-cmd
    -D, --dsp       Write data on /dev/dsp
    -f, --frequency Set beep frequency in HZ
    -i, --ioctl     Use ioctl() on /dev/console
    -l, --length    Beep duration in milliseconds
    -p, --pipe      Write to /run/beepr-cmd
    -V, --version   Show program version and exit
    -v, --verbose   Show more information for debugging
