A Colorado Board of Elections employee has given me the following tasks to complete the election audit of a recent local congressional election.
- The total number of votes casted
- Create a complete list of candidates who received votes
- Calculate the percentage of votes each candidate won
- Calulcate the total number of votes each candidate won
- Determine the winner of the election based on popular vote.

The analysis of the election show that:
- There were 369,711 votes casted in the election
- Counties votes were collected:
- Arapahoe
- Denver
- Jefferson
- The Candidates were:
- Charles Casper Stockham
- Diana DeGette
- Raymon Anthony Doane
- The candidate results were:
- Charles Casper Stockham received 23.0% of the vote and 85,213 number of votes
- Diana DeGette receieved 73.8% of the vote and 272,892 number of votes
- Raymon Anthony Doane received 3.1% of the vote and 11,606 number of votes
- The winner of the election was:
- Diana DeGette, who received 73.8% of the vote and 272,892 number of votes
Using Visual Studio Code, an analysis was completed to display the winner of an election that took place in three counties: Arapahoe, Denver, and Jefferson. Candidates who ran were Charles Casper Stockham, Diana DeGette, and Raymon Anthony Doane. After tallying the 369,722 votes that were casted, Dianna DeGette won the election receiving 73.8% of the vote and 272,892 number of votes.
From the total votes of 369,711 that were casted, Diana DeGette, who received 73.8% of the vote and 272,892 number of votes, won the election.
