Overview

Exoplanet Empire is a text-based idle game where players manage and expand a space colony. Utilize resources, build structures, and explore new territories in this engaging and strategic game.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

This project uses the HSA.Console library, originally designed for the Ready to Program with Java IDE. However, it is recommended to use a modern IDE for better support and user experience. The HSA folder is included as a zip file.

Recommended Setup

  1. Download and Install a Modern IDE

    • It is recommended to use Visual Studio Code (VS Code) or any other modern Java-supported IDE.

  2. Setup Instructions

    • Follow the setup instructions provided here to configure your environment for running the project.

Alternative Setup

  1. Ready to Program with Java IDE
    • Although not recommended, you can use the original Ready to Program with Java IDE.
    • Download and install the IDE here.

How to Use

  1. Clone this repository to your local machine:

    git clone https://github.com/yourusername/Starbound-Empires.git

  2. Open the project in your chosen IDE.

  3. Remember to have the hsa folder in the same directory as your running file. Check the link above for more help.

  4. Run the main program file to start playing Starbound Empires.

  5. The soundtrack is not included because of its large file size.
