changing language to spanish causes compilation error in examples/documentation

When compiling main.tex from examples/documentation, changing in line number 46 \usepackage[english]{babel} by \usepackage[spanish]{babel} gets an error.

However, it works well when one attemps to do the same in main.tex but from examples/minimal_book, i.e., changing line number 10.
