DNS Overrider is an extension for Google Chrome. This extension permits front-end and back-end website developers to override hostnames without any changes in code. If you work with a test copy of your site, you can quickly replace hostnames for images, scripts, anchors, style sheets and check if website markup and design are correct.

DNS Overrider extension is simple in use. Enable the extension, enter a hostname in the "hostname" field, then enter a desired alias in the "alias" field and press the "add" button. The rule will be applied to all pages which contain any elements of the given hostname.
