Best practices using MVC architecture(explained) in a Android development app built with Java
Understanding MVC Architecture as Model-View-Controller.
The MODEL represents the data and business logic, the VIEW handles the user interface, and the CONTROLLER acts as the intermediary between the two, handling user input and data operations.
In the app below theres a User request using a click buttom for display a text.(View as ViexText)
The text is build by "appName" + "appDownloads" + "appRating" datas (Model as MyModel class)
Controller as MainActivity listen the event(click buttom) and convert event to request
Model as MyModel class run the request and get data for Controller
Controller pass the data to View who display the data
Explained that, theres much more in MVC for example Service. Service works with Controller. It would be responsible for business rules and calls to the DAO or Repository in the time that Controller would be responsible for receiving information from Views (user requests) and making Service calls.
Example of Service use: Imagine an application for vehicle registration, the View would contain a form that would be filled out by the user and sent via HTTP request to the Controller, which would validate the form and call the Service that would contain the business rule and then send it to the DAO or Repository to perform operations on the database.
