iDigBio Media Appliance.

  • Integrated Digitized Biocollections (iDigBio), the National Resource for Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections (ADBC) funded by the National Science Foundation. Through ADBC, data and images for millions of biological specimens are being made available in electronic format for the research community, government agencies, students, educators, and the general public.
  • iDigBio Media Appliance is the client side application for the Ingestion of the CSV file in the iDigBio server.

To run this application your computer should have Node and npm installed.

Install electron using:

$ npm install electron --save-dev $ npm install -g electron

check the version of electron by:

$ electron --version version should be at least v1.4.13

To run the application:

$ electron .

For packaging the electron application, install following packages: -

  • for use in npm scripts: $ npm install electron-packager --save-dev
  • for install from cli: $ npm install electron-packager -g

Install grunt, grunt-electron, grunt-browserify
