Are you looking for a website template for your GDG DevFest 2022? Feel free to use this one!
This website was made with React and Tailwind CSS. The primary font is Google Sans (included). We followed the brand color guidelines recommended by GDG and all of our graphics are from the GDG DevFest brand guidelines.
We used Netlify for hosting because it is easy and free. If you also use Netlify, make sure to use the _redirects file in the public folder with the following line: '/* /index.html 200' (no quotes). If you delete this file, your page links will break and you will be sad!
We are managing our speakers through Sessionize https://sessionize.com/. Sessionize has an API to pull in your speaker bios and speaker sessions. This is how we pull in the data for the speakers. We have not yet included a feature to pull in the sessions or schedule data, but we will. Make a pull request if you want to add this feature!
- Open your terminal and type $ git clone {the url of this repo}
- cd into the new folder and type $ npm install
- Run the React project from your terminal with $ npm start

Note: This is only setup to work for sharing your main website link, not subpage links. This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.
In the project directory, you can run:
Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.
The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.
Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.
The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can't go back!
If you aren't satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.
Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you're on your own.
You don't have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn't feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn't be useful if you couldn't customize it when you are ready for it.
