This is the public repo for GitHub's Skills-Based Volunteer program that is run under Social Impact's Tech for Social Good portfolio, and is in partnership with various social sector organizations. Organizations are welcome to fork this repo.
Skills-Based Volunteering Programs aim to match skilled employees with partner social sector organizations to help solve their strategic and technical problems through short term engagements.

- Browse current volunteer asks in Issues
- Confirm with your Team/Manager you are available to volunteer and provide the acknowledgement confirmation message
- Here is a sample of what you can send to your Team/Manager to confirm your involvement and a Employee Toolkit to help you out on this
- Manager's please refer to the Team/Manager Acknowledgement Toolkit for more information.
- Sign up for the intro to tech for social good and topic webinars training
- Assign yourself to the Issue with the volunteer ask you want.
*Note that every employee who wishes to volunteer must complete the general tech for social good webinar and any webinars related to their partner org's topics.*
Please do not reach out to partner orgs directly! This cuts down on confusion and streamlines communication
