Event Dispatcher

What is this package?

This package is an event dispatcher. It allows to subscribe to events using StructureMap and dependency injection/assembly scanning.

// instantiate the event dispatcher and scan the assembly
var eventDispatcher = new EventDispatcher(new Lamar.IContainer());
eventDispatcher.Scan(); // scanning is optional and happens on first call to .Dispatch()

// some event class
class Event : IEvent {}

// some event listener or subscriber
//  IEventListener      -> must be added manually to the dispatcher using .AddListener()
//  IEventSubscriber    -> is added automatically to the dispatcher when .Scan() is called
class EventListener : IEventListener { }
class EventSubscriber : IEventSubscriber { }

// dispatch the event
var eventObj = eventDispatcher.Dispatch(new Event())
