Orion CanBus

There are significant changes between the BF, FG, FGII and FG-X models. Most of these documents are referring to the mark I fg. In a nutshell the communications layers for 2008-2011 are as follows:

- Emit keypresses which are picked up by Android Auto

Forscan is community built and tested Diagnostic Software for Ford, Lincoln, Mazda Vehicles. It is primarily used by the DIYer and in the modification scene. https://forscan.org for more information. Forums at https://forscan.org/forum/. Forscan is compatible with basic cheap ELM327 OBDII Readers, but a genuine J2534 interface is the preferred option.

candump

candump let you sniff CAN packets from one or more CAN interfaces with lots of other useful options to filter, redirect messages etc. Here just a small example:

cansniffer

cansniffer is a tool that organizes can information by Arbitration ID and allows users to determine what values are changing. by default, if any arbitration ID doesn't receive "Different" information in the packet after 5 seconds, the data will be cleared from the screen.
