This is a Play 1.2.4 application for betting on the games in the UEFA European 2012 soccer tournament.

1) Download and install Play 1.2.4:
http://download.playframework.org/releases/play-1.2.4.zip
2) Download and install or get access to a PostgreSQL database
http://www.postgresql.org/download/
3) Create an "emtipset" PostgreSQL database by running 'createdb emtipset'
4) Start the database if needed. I'm on a Mac and I run
'sudo su postgres'
'/opt/local/lib/postgresql91/bin/postgres -D /opt/local/var/db/postgresql91/defaultdb &'
5) If needed, create a separate user and grant it privileges on the emtipset database
'psql91 emtipset'
'CREATE USER emtipset WITH PASSWORD 'emtipset';'
'GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON DATABASE emtipset to emtipset;'
6) Get the connection URL and export it to an environment variable where you run play
'export DATABASE_URL=postgres://emtipset:emtipset@localhost/emtipset'
7) Check out this code
8) Step into it using your favorite shell
9) Run 'play deps'
10) Run 'play run'
11) Watch play start up the 'emtipset' webapp
12) Browse to http://localhost:9000 and apply the DB evolutions
