Small utility for easy editing ui_car.json files. Written using NW.js.

Requirements

Some free place (at least ≈0.5GB, just for in case)

Tips

Double click on preview to launch showroom
Press RMB to open controls bar or context menus
Select found text in built-in browser and press “OK”; hold Ctrl to add selected text instead of replacing
Don't forget to save changes (Ctrl+S)
In some cases (editing kn5, for example) app removes original files to Trash Bin, so you can easily restore them if something goes wrong. Warning! Ctrl+Z in Windows Explorer restores them, so be careful!
If you want to rebuild app, please, contact me first: it's written with Js-Ext, and I didn't make any documentation for it

Recommendations

Use “Various” as the brand name if there is no brand at all
Don't forget to use Body/Wheels Ambient Shadows Fixer when shadows is invalid; if results are messed up, fix them in some image editor
You can override brand's logos, upgrade icons and stuff
If you create new mods, please, add such fields as “author”, “version” and “url”
- Better enable “Upload some changes” and then those values eventually will be added in global database

Troubleshooting

Error “App doesn't have access to this folder” You have to grant access to Assetto Corsa root folder. Overwise app won't be able to edit files, and it's its main purpose! To grand access you can run app as Administrator, but it's a worst way. Much better way is to change Security Properties of the folder. When app get access to game files and nothing else.
Error “Cannot get previews. Process exited.” If AC Showroom closes on launch, maybe there is a problem with the car. Open log file and check last lines.
Autoupdate doesn't work Please check if app has access to his folder. If you drop carsmgr.exe into something like C:\Program Files, disable autoupdate at all (but I don't recommend it).
