Step to setup comp

  • keypass:

    https://github.com/keepassx/keepassx

  • install brew:

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

  • install git:

    brew install git (Might need a terminal refresh to use the brew install git and not the OS git)

  • install tmux

    brew install tmux

    install config file .tmux-config

  • install postgres

    brew install postgres postgres -D /usr/local/var/postgres

  • install churby

    brew install chruby --HEAD

  • install ruby-install

    brew install ruby-install --HEAD

  • update rubygems

    sudo gem update --system

  • install bundler

    gem install bundler

  • install ack

    brew install ack

  • intall silversearch

    brew install the_silver_searcher

  • install R

    brew install Caskroom/cask/xquartz

    brew tap homebrew/science

    brew install r

  • install gpg

    brew install gpg

    install keys (.gnugpg directory)

  • install ssh keys (.ssh directory)

    • might need to change permissions

  • install vim

    cp .vim directory to ~

    cp .vimrc to ~

  • install zhell

    git clone git://github.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh.git ~/.oh-my-zsh

    install zhell config file: cp ~/.zshrc

    set zshell as default: chsh -s /bin/zsh

  • install terminal preferences (ProTerminal.terminal) manual?

  • install bash files

    bash_profile

    bashrc
