"The ideas of economists and political philosophers, both when they are right and when they are wrong are more powerful than is commonly understood. Indeed, the world is ruled by little else. Practical men, who believe themselves to be quite exempt from any intellectual influences, are usually slaves of some defunct economist."
--- John Maynard Keynes

This repository houses a Q-study on taxation and the economy.

It was first developed for, and used as part of Maximilian Held's dissertation on taxation and democracy, and was administered before and after Civicon Citizen Conferences on the topic.

Any given iteration of this study is defined by pointers to (versions of) several nested git submodules, to allow for independent versioning:

  • keyneson: The Q study, including q sorts and item feedback from/by participants.
    • wiki.keyneson: Meta information on the study, especially the condition of instruction.
    • keyneson-sample: The Q sample of items (or subset) from a concourse, as used in any given q study.
    • wiki.keyneson-sample: Meta information on the sample, especially the sampling structure or other method.
    • keyneson-concourse: The concourse, or sum of things that could be said about the research subject, from which a sample is drawn.
