There should be a system for coordinators to see if entries in a round were deleted on Wikimedia Commons. Jurors should not be shown deleted files.

This is kind of a tough one. It would be a big latency hit and a lot of API traffic to check every time we serve up an image. Maybe we can whip up a job we run for active rounds nightly as well as on demand?

@mahmoud how about showing this information to coordinators at the round creation time only and as part of issue #24 ?

This came up as an issue with Wiki Loves Africa 2016. Jurors could ignore or downvote deleted files, but it was a confusing user experience. It looked like a bug in Montage, since jurors were asked to vote on a blank page.

We could disqualify deleted files at the start, but it will still possibly come up later in the campaign too.

That would be fine as long as the system can handle images which have been deleted on Commons between the time the round has been created and the time at which the images are being judged. Simply skipping any deleted images would be fine. What happened in Wiki Loves Africa 2016 was problematic – the system asking the juror to score an image which fails to load without explanation.
