Update discussion groups to show the top 5 threads instead of posts

Allows everyone to see multiple different discussions going on instead of the possibility of 5 posts in the same discussion. What say ye?
Im entirely sure I saw an rss for recent topics vs recent replies. Should
be easy as switching out the feed url

You lose the real time convo. I was seeing Luis' post from 10 hours ago as
one of the top 5, since it goes by first posted date, not last updated.

Is this different than the mailing list code I used?
I changed it because you said you wanted the newest messages or something.
I guess I did it wrong, will change back.

I was talking about possibly pulling the latest $foo posts, then grouping by subject and sorting by last message to get a similar timeline as what you'd see if you were reading the list.
I can work on this tonight/this afternoon.
not sure if that is necessary. especially with jake's point of it being for
noobs. the noobs just need to be able to see we have a mailing list and
that it is active. others' thoughts?
