Arduino Animation Machine

Summary

An animation machine is a box with a viewing window. Within the window you see images flashing by. Inside the machine is a disk that is divided into different sections (like a pizza). Each slice has a small sculpture or image. As the disk turns a stroboscope is used to light up the images. Resulting in an animation.

History

This project was originally created by Jesse and Glenda Drew, professors at UC Davis to redesign an analog animation machine with one built on Arduino. The project was originally started in 2015 and a version 1 delivered in early 2016.
