Description

driftViewer allows selection and analysis of drifter trajectories from the PhOD/AOML/NOAA dataset. This dataset is provided in SQLite database format and is current up to 2022, these data are the same as those available on the official NOAA site located at:

https://www.aoml.noaa.gov/phod/gdp/interpolated/data/subset.php

How to install

Matlab 2021b compatible software

  • Open Matlab
  • Go to APP tab
  • Click on the "Install App" button
  • Select the driftViewer.mlappinstall file
  • In the Install dialog click on the "Install" button

How to run

Type in the Matlab command window:

>> driftViewer <Enter>

or Find driftViewer in the APP tab of Matlab.

Features

  • Select and analyze drifter trajectories from the PhOD/AOML/NOAA dataset
  • Export figures in JPEG, PNG, TIFF format with 500 DPI resolution
  • Copy maps to clipboard
