No more buttons show up after 4-5 buttons.

I have checked the watchdog timer but that does not seem to have expired in the first place. I will commit the code with some logging messages.

We noted that the buttons did not seem to have a problem correctly showing up when the animations were disabled. This is definitely related to the animations.

The issue is not fixed. The buttons now stop showing up after an arbitrary number of buttons. I tried it once and it stopped at 24. I tried it again and it stopped after 1!
