AutoATES-v2.0
A fully automated algorithm used to provide ATES mapping for large areas.
AutoATES_v1.0
A fully automated algorithm used to provide ATES mapping for all of Norway. The algorithm is based on the technical model for ATES mapping. This model has specific terrain-based thresholds that can be applied for automated terrain-based modeling. Our algorithm expands on prior work by including the potential release area (PRA) model to identify and calculate the likelihood of an avalanche releasing from a start zone. We also use the raster-based TauDEM-model to determine the avalanche runout length. The final product is a 10-m resolution ATES map.
GEO4520-Matlab-scripts
master_thesis
Using the random forest algorithm, we developed four models for predicting alpha-angle runout from topographic parameters (Master thesis, University of Oslo).
potential_release_areas
This python script reimplements the Potential Release Area proposed by Veitinger et al. (2016) and modified by Sharp et al., (2018) using python libraries.
random
Different scripts for extracting information related to Varsom.no / Norwegian Avalanche Forecasting Service (NAWS).
signaling-data
All data being used in the paper "Challenges of using signaling data from telecom network in non-urban areas"
windshelter
This python script reimplements the Wind Shelter Index proposed by Plattner et al. (2004), that has originally been implemented within the RSAGA package.
