The Command LIne Interpreter

The Command Line interpreter does this following functions:

  • Create a new object (ex: a new User or a new Place)
  • Retrieve an object from a file, a database etc…
  • Do operations on objects (count, compute stats, etc…)
  • Update attributes of an object
  • Destroy an object

How to start it

Run the executable file console.py i.e ./console.py

How to use it

Run any valid command on the prompt when its displayed e.g create, show, destroy etc

Examples

./console.py
(hbnb) create BaseModel

./console.py
(hbnb) create BaseModel
(hbnb) all BaseModel
