This project uses PostgreSQL with PostGIS, PostGIS adds geographic object support to PostgreSQL, turning it into a spatial database. GEOS, PROJ.4 and GDAL should be installed prior to building PostGIS. Official Documentation.
We recomend using a virtual envorinment:
