This is the basic setup to get a Rails application running on docker. Other apps that install aside with rails are:
- Postgres
- Sidekiq
- Redis
- Nginx
This is used by create a new rails app to add or modify gems in case you needed to generate the real app
docker build -t rails-toolbox \
--build-arg USER_ID=$(id -u) \
--build-arg GROUP_ID=$(id -g) \
-f Dockerfile.rails .
Generates a reverse proxy for the app
- pull the repository
- run
docker-compose up
- done
