Hybrid Era F1 Seamless Gearbox
Materials Needed:
- ~2.5kg of filament
- Cyanoacrylate/Super Glue
- 4ft total of 5/16" or 8mm threaded rods (Check cad file for individual lengths)
- 8x 5/16" or 8mm Nyloc nuts
- 4ft total of 1/2" or 13mm Aluminum tubing (Will go over threaded rod)
- M2/M3/M4 Assorted Socket head bolts (I used a generic assortment from Amazon)
- 2x M6x50mm Socket head bolts for oil pump
- 6mm Airsoft BB's
- 3x 6909 Thin Section Bearings (Maybe substituted with a 3D printed nylon plain bearing)
- 1x 6908 Thin Section Bearings (Maybe substituted with a 3D printed nylon plain bearing)
- 3x 608 Bearings
- Teflon grease for 3d printed bearings
Electronics (Optional)
- M5 Tapered Hex heads for NEMA 17 Mounts
- 2x Nema 17 Stepper Motors ~45oz/in
- 2x AS5600 Magnetic Encoders and Magnets
- 1x ESP32 Module
- 1x TCA9548A (Or change arduino code to use ESP32's second I2C bus for one of the encoders)
- 3x L298N Dual H Bridge Motor Controllers
- 1x 300-500rpm Geared Motor
This is probably not a comprehensive list of all materials. You'll need a full complement of hand tools, drill bits, needle files, sandpaper and I recommend a set of calipers to ensure parts are within spec.
