Support for Haswell?

Closed this issue · 6 comments

Sorry if this has been already discussed or is known but I'm looking to run numatop on a Haswell machine and was wondering if the Haswell architecture specific code is in the works? Will it be ever made public? Thanks!

numatop needs HSW offcore events support in perf, but unfortunately, they are not in now. I'm tracking that.

Thank you for the response @yaoj If it helps, let me know if you need a hand. Happy to contribute :)

@yaoj does this patch take care of everything haswell?

Does numatop support Broadwell?

yaoj commented

Yes, it supports but please use the upstream kernel (e.g. 4.6). Because some performance counters are only supported in latest kernel.
