If you don't read this first, we won't help you. :-) See the INSTALL document for info on configuring and compiling ircd-hybrid. IMPORTANT. if you are used to using "ONE" in the password field of I lines to limit clients to one per ip, hybrid-5 no longer does it that way. It now does it the same way CSr does it. The limit is set by the normally unused (for clients) confreq field in the corresponding Y line. TRANSLATION: You *MUST* fix your I and Y lines to be hybrid-5 compatible before running hybrid-5. LOTS OF THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN CONFIG.H. PLEASE READ THROUGH IT. NEW DEBUGGING MODE: if you run ircd with the -s flag, it will send errors that are normally syslogged to stderr. This is very useful if you don't have syslogging set up and ircd won't run.
