Elevation Profile is a configurable application template used to display the elevation profile for a selected feature or a measured line along with a web map.

#Features Elevation Profile is a configurable application template used to display the elevation profile for a selected feature or a measured line along with a web map. This template uses the Profile geoprocessing service to generate the elevation values along the profile. View the Profile service developer documentation for additional details.

This template can be configured using the following options:

  • Map: Choose the web map(s) used in the application.
  • Bing Maps Key: Enter a Bing Maps key to enable the application to use Bing Maps.
  • Scalebar Units: Specify the scale bar units; choose Metric and English, Metric only, or English only.

#Instructions

  1. Download and unzip the .zip file or clone the repo.
  2. Web-enable the directory
  3. Access the .html page
  4. See the readme.html page for more details.

#Requirements

  • Notepad or HTML editor
  • Some background with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with the ArcGIS API for JavaScript is helpful.
