LaTeX forward sync only scrolls to page and not actual position of the content

When forward syncing LaTeX documents with latex package in atom, the pdf is scrolled only to the top of the page and not the actual content position. For example, if the content is in the last line of the page, and if the zooming is such that the last line is not visible, it still just scrolls to the top of the pdf.
It would be useful if the pdf is scrolled to get the content in view.
It would be even more useful to highlight/flash the content when forward syncing like Texmaker does.
