Most payment gateways will accept any date set in the future for the card expiry date unless specified differently below.
The following test credit card numbers will only work in the Authorize.Net sandbox. If the card code is required use any 3-digit combination except for American Express which requires a 4-digit combination. See the Authorize.Net Testing Guide for further details.

The cents in the amount being paid for determines whether the payment succeeds or not:
- 10.00 would be a success (because 00 is the bank response code for a valid payment)
- 10.51 would be declined (because 51 is the code for a declined payment)

* The Capita Authorisation System will automatically reverse transactions depending on the AVS CSC Results. AUTO REVERSE transactions will not complete whereas AUTH will return with an Auth code. This emulates what happens in the Live environment. Response codes/messages are usually only seen if making a payment directly against an API – front-end systems such as Payment Portal will not display the specific error, but show either a “payment declined” or “system error” page. Details on the reason for ‘payment declined’ should never be known to the card holder.

Test card for special Result codes.
The last two digits of the AMOUNT attributes define the result code of the authorization response. Only if the last two digits of the value are set to "00" or "01" will payment be authorized. In doing so requests with AMOUNT "00" receive ECI=1 in the response, which means the 3-D Secure liability shift is given whilst a liability shift is not applicable for requests with AMOUNT "01" receiving ECI=0 in the response. For all other requests where AMOUNT is not "00" or "01" Saferpay will send an answer with RESULT="65" where AUTHRESULT will contain the error code.

For test purposes only WorldPay has defined a set of test credit card numbers. These can only be used in the test environment.

These card numbers should always be used in combination with an expiry date in the future and with cardholder name REFUSED, AUTHORISED, ERROR ,REFERRED or CAPTURED.
Cardholder name REFUSED will simulate a refused payment situation whereas AUTHORISED will simulate an authorised payment situation. Cardholder name ERROR will simulate a payment that ended in error and REFERRED simulates a refused payment with refusal reason 'reffered'. And finally, CAPTURED as cardholder name will simulate a payment ending as in status CAPTURED.
